Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Sterile Processing Supervisor to lead our sterile processing department in a fast-paced healthcare environment. This permanent position offers an exciting opportunity to oversee the sterilization, handling, and tracking of surgical instruments, ensuring compliance with all hospital and regulatory standards. Responsibilities
- Supervise daily sterile processing operations, ensuring all surgical instruments are properly sterilized, handled, and stored according to AAMI standards and hospital policies
- Lead staff training initiatives on aseptic techniques, instrument handling, and inventory management systems to maintain high competency levels
- Oversee inventory control processes, including tracking serialized surgical instruments and managing stock levels to prevent shortages or overstocking
- Ensure compliance with infection control regulations and hospital regulatory requirements through routine audits and process reviews
- Manage staff schedules, performance evaluations, and team development activities to promote a motivated and efficient workforce
- Collaborate with surgical teams and OR staff to coordinate instrument preparation and sterilization workflows for various procedures
- Maintain accurate documentation of sterilization cycles, instrument tracking logs, and inventory records to support quality assurance efforts
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of sterile processing procedures, including surgical instrument sterilization and handling in accordance with AAMI standards
- Proficiency in inventory management systems and serialized surgical instrument tracking technology
- Strong leadership skills with proven experience supervising teams in a healthcare setting
- Deep understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and infection control regulations
- Excellent management abilities with experience in staff training, performance management, and process optimization
- Familiarity with hospital regulatory compliance related to sterile processing and infection prevention practices
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment

Pay: $80,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
