Description:
School Safety and Supervision Responsibilities (Priority Focus)

Monitors building entry and assists with student check in during morning arrival until 9:30 AM to ensure compliance with school safety procedures

Conducts regular safety rounds throughout the building during the morning to monitor restrooms hallways common areas and entrances
-
Maintains a visible presence during lunch periods to support student supervision de escalation and overall safety
-
Evaluates situations involving students staff parents or visitors and takes appropriate action or immediately notifies administration as needed
-
Responds promptly to fights medical concerns facility damage alarms or other safety related incidents
-
Secures facilities and grounds during school hours to minimize property damage equipment loss and safety risks

Assists administration with maintaining a safe orderly learning environment throughout the school day
Custodial and Facilities Responsibilities

Cleans assigned school facilities including classrooms offices restrooms multipurpose rooms and common areas to maintain a sanitary safe and attractive environment

Performs cleaning duties after lunch and throughout the remainder of the day once student supervision needs are met

Responds to bodily fluid clean up and sanitation needs in accordance with safety and health protocols

Inspects school facilities to identify necessary repairs due to vandalism equipment breakage or safety concerns

Maintains custodial supplies and equipment to ensure availability of required materials

Paints interiors and performs minor facility repairs such as faucets toilets furniture and light fixtures
-
Arranges furnishings and equipment to support meetings classroom activities and special events
Training and Compliance

Attends required in service training including blood borne pathogens cleaning solvents floor care first aid and safety procedures

Follows all district and school safety health and operational protocols
Support and Additional Duties

Assists other school personnel as needed to support daily operations

Performs other duties as assigned by the Principal or Management to ensure school safety and functionality
Requirements:
- High School Diploma at minimum;

Operating equipment used in industrial maintenance including electrical cleaning equipment, common tool, etc. and adhering to safety practices;

Good physical health including ability to lift 75 pounds, climb to high and difficult places and work at those places. Constant hand-eye and mind-eye coordination, standing and walking. Repetitive motion with wrists hands and fingers. Frequent bending, carrying, hearing, lifting and stooping. Occasional climbing and crawling;

At least two years’ experience working in a school environment preferred;

Satisfactory completion of local, state, and federal criminal history check and TB test;
-
Demonstrated ability to exhibit strong interpersonal skills with students, parents and administrators; and

Ability to meet established deadlines.
