Shop Hand / General Shop Help
The Bionic Welder in Granbury, TX is looking to hire a full-time shop hand.
This is a good position for someone who wants steady work in a fabrication shop and is willing to stay busy. You do not need to be a welder, but you do need to be dependable, able to follow directions, and willing to help wherever needed.
The shop hand position will help with parts coming off the laser, loading and unloading, cleaning parts, helping around the press brake, and general shop work. Work hard, learn, and other opportunities will be afforded to you.

Pay: $18-20/hr
Overtime: Available as needed
Benefits: PTO after 1 year, paid holidays off.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Removing parts from laser-cut plate
- Cleaning, deburring, and organizing parts
- Loading and unloading trucks
- Helping with press brake work
- Moving material and finished parts around the shop
- Helping welders and fabricators as needed
- Sweeping, cleaning, and keeping the shop organized
- Running general shop tasks as needed
- Learning basic fabrication shop work
What We’re Looking For
- Must be reliable and show up on time
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Forklift experience is needed
- Able to follow directions and stay busy
- Able to lift, move, and handle parts safely
- Good attitude and willing to help wherever needed
- Comfortable working in a fabrication shop
- Willing to do physical work
- Pays attention to safety and takes care of equipment
Preferred
- Previous shop, construction, farm, mechanical, or fabrication experience
- Basic tool knowledge
- Ability to read a tape measure
- Interest in learning welding or fabrication
This position could possibly grow into more welding or fabrication work for the right person.
Requirements
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must be able to work on your feet
- Must be able to lift, bend, and work around steel
- Safety gear is provided by the shop
- Background check or drug test may be required as needed
- No smoking or vaping on site
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
