What will you be doing?
Perform necessary steps to provide printing department with related press wagons & parts.
Clean press wagons & all associated parts related to the press wagons.
Ensure that press wagons are operational.
Operate and maintain parts of wash systems and all related equipment.
Responsible for following the process control strategies through defined centerline operating conditions and properly responding to feedback from online (e.g. A/V Alarms) and offline process control indicators (e.g. Quality Window)
In the case of non-conforming products or processes, utilize existing controlled information to troubleshoot the problem, including but not limited to operating centerlines, work instructions, on-line process control data, offline process control data, FMEA.
Take part in job changeovers on printing press.
Follow cleaning plans.
Maintain hazardous waste pit and all related equipment.
Work with various hand tools and carts.
Follow safety procedures and guidelines in the department and plant wide.
Loading & unloading all parts and equipment off the wash carts.
Dipping and scraping parts in the dip tank.
Emptying, cleaning and filling up the dip tank.
Follow safety policies and procedures for the department and plant wide.
Perform other job duties as assigned.
Manages hazardous waste satellite accumulations areas
Oversee hazardous waste satellite / accumulation areas and ensure regulatory agency compliance i.e. labeling, containment, disposal, documentation, etc.
EDUCATION AND/OR TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:
High school education or equivalent
Confined space trained
OCCUPATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Good hand and eye coordination to work with tools.
Ability to work closely and have good communication with other departments
Ability to work independently without continuous supervision.
Ability to multitask.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work in an environment with strong odors and where hazardous materials are used daily.
Able to be involved with continuous lifting activities as outlined in the hiring process.
