Assess Progress: Track student participation, complete basic grading or developmental tracking, and keep detailed daily records for the returning teacher.
Classroom Management and Environment

Maintain Nurturing Structures: Keep firm, warm, and predictable routines for five- and six-year-olds, utilizing clear multi-step directions and smooth transitions.

Positive Reinforcement: Use gentle redirection, praise, visual cues, and interactive attention-grabbers (like songs or clapping patterns) rather than punitive measures.
Professional Duties and Communication

Parent Collaboration: Update families on classroom activities, behavior milestones, or concerns via email, notes, or phone calls.
