Position of: Purchasing and Inventory Specialist
This position is a full time, nonexempt, in person position Monday- Friday 9:00am- 6:00pm. Reports to the President and Controller.
Primary Responsibilities:

Purchase goods and services according to company policies and procedures.

Maintain the PUI Purchase Order Log.
- Develop and maintain good working relationships with vendors.

Maintain pricing histories and other vendor records.

Ensure purchasing documents are complete and accurate.

Manage and maintain the inventory system.

Maintain consistent stock of inventory, ordering new stock once the reorder point is reached.

Coordinate with managers to maintain appropriate inventory levels.

Maintain accurate daily records of goods received in inventory system.

Conduct frequent spot and partial audits of physical inventory.

Conduct the annual end-of-year physical full inventory audit.

Add new items to inventory as required, including the creation of internal part numbers and assigning storage locations.

Work to find value added pricing and quantity discounts for products as well as alternative vendors to boost the company’s bottom line.
Required Skills and Qualities:

Excellent communication skills with warehouse workers, the accounting team, and outside vendors.

Basic understanding of inventory control procedures.

Proficient keyboarding skills.

Extremely organized and able to work with minimum supervision.

Excellent attention to detail.

Punctual, responsible, have organized work habits and be able to keep up with deadlines and complete daily work on time.

Must maintain confidentiality at all times.

Full-time non-exempt position; pay range starting at $19.00-24.00 per hour depending on experience, education, and training.
