ADMINISTRATIVE VACANCY- DIRECTOR OF PUPIL SERVICES

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Candidates must possess or be eligible for appropriate Connecticut administrative certification (092) and possess Connecticut certification as a school social worker, school psychologist or in special education.
- Candidate must be knowledgeable of best practices in special education instruction, teaching methodology, behavior management of students with disabilities and the general education curriculum for students, ages 2-21
- Candidate must have knowledge of school law, legal provisions related to childcare, special education laws, and regulations is required
- Candidate must have knowledge of the Connecticut School Health Guidelines and the guidelines for the Management of the Student’s Scholastic Records in Connecticut is required
- Candidate must be able to demonstrate the ability to function effectively as a team member in determining the appropriate services for the children through such meetings as Planning and Placement Team (PPT) and 504 meetings, discipline reviews, mediation, and/or due process proceedings
- Strong interpersonal, communication and management skills
- Administrative experience preferred but not required
START DATE: September 14, 2026, or as soon as possible following appointment
COMPENSATION: 2026-2027 Salary Range is $162,021.06 - $169,565.81, in accordance with the Stafford Administrators’ Contract
