Duties
- Perform comprehensive vehicle inspections, including checking mechanical systems, electrical components, tires, brakes, and body condition to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and automotive repair equipment to assess and diagnose vehicle issues accurately.
- Conduct automotive tire changes, basic maintenance tasks, and minor repairs as needed during inspections.
- Document inspection findings clearly and thoroughly using auto estimating software and detailed reports.
- Identify necessary repairs or parts replacements such as auto body repairs or electrical system fixes, ensuring all work meets quality standards.
- Assist with vehicle maintenance procedures, including mechanical systems repair and auto restoration projects.
- Collaborate with team members to uphold safety protocols and deliver exceptional customer service by explaining inspection results clearly to clients.
Requirements
- Proven experience operating standard passenger cars confidently in various conditions.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in automotive parts, accessories, electrical systems, and repair techniques.
- Ability to perform automotive tire changes, vehicle maintenance tasks, and use hand tools effectively.
- Knowledge of automotive service procedures including auto estimating, vehicle inspections, and auto body repair.
- Physical capability for heavy lifting and performing hands-on repairs or inspections requiring manual dexterity.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients.
- Prior experience working with automotive electrical systems or heavy-duty vehicles is a plus.
- Certification or training in automotive repair or inspection is preferred but not mandatory.
