JOB TITLE: Office Clerk I
REPORTS TO: Principal
JOB DESCRIPTION:
To assure the smooth and efficient operation of the school office so that the maximum positive impact on the education of children can be realized.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Maintains student discipline records and correspondence as assigned.

Assists Principal's secretary in all office matters including typing, filing, student record keeping, and other tasks as assigned.

As an office receptionist, handles all communications with parents, teachers, students, and the public in a polite, professional and positive manner.

Assists students as needed.

Participates in professional growth activities.

Maintains a clean, attractive and pleasant office atmosphere that is efficient and organized.

Becomes knowledgeable and competent in other office affairs so as to be able to handle them in the absence of another secretary or the Principal.

Answers phones and pursues appropriate follow-up of messages.

Completes all other tasks as assigned by the Principal.
