Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Durable Medical Equipment (DME) Delivery Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills, experience in warehouse operations, and a proven track record in commercial driving and delivery. As a DME Delivery Technician, you will be responsible for safely delivering and setting up medical equipment, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maintaining accurate delivery documentation. Duties
- Safely operate Cargo Vans to deliver durable medical equipment to clients’ homes or healthcare facilities.
- Load and unload medical equipment using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual handling techniques, ensuring proper safety protocols are followed.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting clients with the setup, operation, and understanding of their medical equipment.
- Follow designated route driving schedules efficiently while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Maintain accurate delivery records, obtain signatures, and document any issues or discrepancies during delivery.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to coordinate inventory management and ensure timely stock replenishment.
- Assist with warehouse organization, including cleaning and maintaining proper use of equipment, moving heavy items and operating equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks when necessary.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally with clients.
- Physical ability to lift heavy items regularly and perform manual handling tasks safely.
- Ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and adapt to changing schedules.
