American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Level III NICU position in Asheville, NC, requiring at least 2 years of Level III or higher NICU experience and NRP certification.

51-bed Level III NICU within a children's hospital at an 815-bed acute care regional referral center for tertiary and quaternary care
-
Night shift schedule: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
-
Patient ratios of 1:1, 1:2, 1:3, or 1:4 depending on acuity
-
Unit staffed with 18 RNs, 1 charge RN, and 2 RTs per shift
-
Charting via Cerner EMR
-
Every other weekend required
-
Floating may be required to Peds, PICU, and Mother Baby (babies only)

13-week contract
-
Active NC or Compact RN license required
-
NRP (Advanced 9th Edition, American Academy of Pediatrics card) required
-
S.T.A.B.L.E. and NIC-RNC certifications preferred
-
Minimum 2 years of Level III or higher NICU experience required

Cerner EMR experience preferred

US SSN and date of birth required for consideration

One professional reference required for consideration

No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible

The facility is an HCA Healthcare facility and serves as the only Level II trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, and children's hospital in western North Carolina

Detail-oriented and organized candidates are the best fit for this unit
