Responsibilities
- Lead dynamic after-school programs that educates youth on finances
- Manage classroom behavior effectively to ensure a respectful and productive environment for all children
- Implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities that promote childhood development and early childhood education principles
- Maintain safety standards by applying first aid when necessary and adhering to health and safety protocols
- Collaborate with school staff, parents, and caregivers to support each child's social-emotional well-being and behavioral management
- Foster inclusive participation by working with children of varying abilities, including those requiring special education accommodations
- Encourage teamwork, sportsmanship, creativity, and self-expression through engaging camp-style activities and tutoring sessions
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, camp, tutoring, or babysitting is highly preferred
- Strong classroom management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a lively environment
- Knowledge of childhood development theories and early childhood education best practices
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications in special education or behavior management are a plus
- Excellent communication skills to effectively work with students, parents, and colleagues
- Passion for working with children and fostering their growth through educational play and enrichment activities
- Ability to create a positive atmosphere that promotes safety, inclusion, and fun for all participants
Join us in shaping bright futures! This is a contract Position and pay is $1,500 - $1,800 per course. You will get paid monthly. Depending on the location, your course will be 8 weeks or 10 weeks
You are expected to arrive 15 minutes before class starts and check in at the front desk. The curriculum and materials will be provided for you.
Classes are 60 minutes, 1x a week, unless your schedule sees fit to teach at another location.
All applicants hired are expected to undergo a background check.
Pay: $750.00 per month
