Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented 3rd Shift Saw Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating saws to cut, shape, and prepare materials with precision and efficiency. Your expertise will ensure that production runs smoothly during the overnight shift, maintaining high standards of quality and safety. Duties
- Operate saws to cut and shape raw materials according to specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) to ensure accurate machining processes.
- Conduct quality control checks using calipers, micrometers, precision measuring instruments, and other tools to verify dimensions meet specifications.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols and properly handling materials with forklifts or other warehouse equipment.
Skills
- Strong understanding of blueprint reading, GD&T standards, and mechanical drawings.
- Experience operating saws or similar manufacturing equipment.
- Knowledge of materials handling techniques using forklifts or hand tools within a factory setting.
- Ability to use precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers accurately.
- Solid understanding of manufacturing processes including machining, fabrication, welding, and packaging.
- Familiarity with factory safety procedures and quality control standards in a manufacturing facility.
