The Town of Falmouth has an immediate opening for a part-time Senior Services Kitchen Assistant to assist with the operations of the Senior Center Café.
This is a part-time, non-benefited position that works at the Falmouth Senior Center up to 19 hours per week during the timeframe of Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.
Under the direction of the Kitchen Supervisor, this position:
- Assists in the preparation and display of all food items for daily service and special events;
- Assists in taking food orders and completing each Café transaction;
- Assists with ordering supplies, receiving deliveries, and assigning proper storage;
- Practices hygienic food handling, preparation, and serving techniques;
- Provides guidance to Café volunteers;
- Greets and informs guests of daily specials;
- Provides excellent customer service in all interactions; and
- Performs related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of one (1) year of food service experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training, or experience which demonstrates possession of the required knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the essential functions of the position.
Applicants must have a current ServSafe Food Handler Certification. The successful candidate is enthusiastic, with strong customer service and interpersonal skills, and has the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team-oriented municipal environment.
Expected Starting Range: $23.10/hour – $24.98/hour (rates effective the first full paycheck of July 2026), commensurate with qualifications and experience.
