We are seeking a passionate and energetic Full-time Spanish Associate Teacher to join our Lower Elementary team. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive Spanish language curricula tailored to lower elementary students, integrating age-appropriate activities and cultural lessons.
- Utilize differentiated instruction techniques to accommodate various learning styles and ensure all students progress effectively.
- Monitor student performance through regular assessments, progress tracking, and analyzing standardized testing data to inform instructional strategies.
- Foster a positive classroom atmosphere with effective classroom management practices that promote respectful behavior and active engagement.
- Collaborate with colleagues on lesson planning, curriculum development, and educational technology integration to enhance teaching effectiveness.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress, behavior, and language development through conferences and written reports.
- Incorporate literacy education, math, physical education, and other subjects into the language program to support holistic childhood development.
- Support students with special needs or those requiring early intervention by adapting lessons and providing targeted support as needed.
- Maintain compliance with educational regulations while ensuring a safe, inclusive environment conducive to learning for all children.
Qualifications
- Proven experience teaching young children in an elementary school setting, preferably within private or Montessori schools.
- Strong knowledge of curriculum implementation, lesson planning, and classroom management strategies specific to early childhood education.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
- Familiarity with learning technology tools, educational software, and digital resources used for instruction and student assessment.
- Experience working with children with autism or other special needs; background in early intervention is advantageous.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt lessons for diverse learning styles and monitor student progress effectively.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management techniques, and standardized testing procedures.
- Ability to collaborate professionally with colleagues, mentors, parents, and support staff to foster a nurturing learning environment.
- Strong writing skills for creating clear lesson plans, reports, and communication materials related to student performance.
