Front of House Team Member (Full-Time)
Zait & Za’atar is a busy, community-focused Mediterranean restaurant known for warm hospitality, quality food, and a high standard of cleanliness. We’re looking for a reliable, experienced Front of House team member to help maintain smooth daily operations and create a welcoming experience for our guests.
This is a hands-on role that requires consistency, attention to detail, and pride in maintaining a clean, organized restaurant.
Position Details
Hours: 40–44 hours per week
Schedule: Must be available for weekdays, weekends, and some evenings
Employment Type: Full-time
Pay: Competitive, based on experience
Key Responsibilities
Greet guests warmly and professionally
Seat guests and manage front-of-house flow
Take customer orders accurately (POS experience required)
Run food and drinks to tables
Prepare and serve non-alcoholic beverages
Buss tables promptly and reset for new guests
Maintain cleanliness of:
Dining area
Front counter
Beverage stations
Bathrooms (cleaned daily)
Refill front-of-house and restroom supplies
Take out trash and maintain outdoor cleanliness
Salt sidewalk and entryway during winter as needed
Mop, wipe, sweep, and maintain floors and surfaces throughout the shift
Support team members as needed to keep service running smoothly
Requirements
Verifiable front-of-house restaurant experience required
Ability to provide references
Strong work ethic and attention to cleanliness
Comfortable with physical tasks (standing, walking, lifting, cleaning)
Friendly, respectful, and professional demeanor
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Reliable transportation and punctuality are essential
