The Role
As our Accounting Assistant, you will handle the day-to-day administrative and transactional accounting tasks. You will ensure financial records are accurate, payments are processed on time, and reconciliations are completed seamlessly. Your Responsibilities
- Process Accounts Payable: Review, verify, and enter vendor invoices into the accounting system
- Manage Accounts Receivable: Prepare client invoices, track collections, and follow up on outstanding balances
- Perform Reconciliations: Match bank statements, credit card transactions, and ledger balances monthly
- Support Data Entry: Maintain accurate financial records and update internal databases daily
- Assist with Month-End: Gather documentation and prepare schedules to support the month-end closing process
- Handle Administrative Tasks: File financial documents, answer accounting inquiries, and assist with audit preparation
- Deduction Analysis & Resolution: Research and validate customer chargebacks for legitimacy (e.g., pricing, shipping errors, compliance penalties)
- Dispute Management: Initiate disputes for invalid deductions through customer portals (e.g., Amazon, Walmart) and recover funds
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed logs of deductions, provide status updates to management, and assist in month-end close and aging analysis
- Collaboration: Coordinate with Logistics, Sales, and Credit teams to identify root causes of recurring chargebacks. Assist with bank reconciliations and general ledger entries
What You Bring
- Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- Experience: 1–2 years of experience in an office or accounting setting
- Tech Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables) and exposure to accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite).
- Attention to Detail: High accuracy in data entry and a knack for spotting discrepancies.
- Communication: Must be fluent in English with strong verbal and written communication skills.

- Ability to work independently and handle confidential information
