Overview
Deloatch Freight Carriers LLC. is seeking a highly organized and proactive Freight Operations Supervisor to oversee daily transportation and logistics activities. In this role, you will coordinate freight movements, support dispatch operations, monitor carrier performance, and ensure shipments are delivered safely and on schedule. This position is ideal for someone with strong logistics knowledge, leadership abilities, and a passion for operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily freight and dispatch operations to ensure efficient load management
- Coordinate with drivers, brokers, carriers, and customers regarding shipment schedules and delivery updates
- Monitor freight movements and proactively address delays or service issues
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, invoices, rate confirmations, and operational documentation
- Assist with route planning, load optimization, and fleet utilization strategies
- Prepare operational reports and analyze transportation performance metrics
- Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, safety standards, and company policies
- Support team members with training, scheduling, and operational guidance
- Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain strong client relationships
Requirements
- Previous experience in logistics, transportation, dispatching, or freight operations required
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, transportation software, and logistics systems
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to operational efficiency
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with DAT, Truckstop, TMS platforms, and ELD systems
- Knowledge of freight brokerage, carrier management, and route optimization
- Familiarity with DOT compliance, safety regulations, and transportation best practices
- Experience supervising logistics or operations personnel
- Bilingual (English/Spanish or Russian) is a plus
