Kulkarni Education is seeking a visionary Founding Executive School Director to lead the grand opening and long-term success of our newest Goddard School in Manhasset. This is a rare opportunity to build a world-class preschool community from the ground up, leveraging the proven success of our existing flagship locations in Millburn, Maplewood, and Jersey City. This role serves as the primary strategic partner to the CEO and Chief Business Officer.
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Executive School Director. This position is ideal for someone who loves young children, has a passion for education, has an entrepreneurial spirit, is seeking to become a community leader and to build a lasting legacy. She/he must be mission-driven and inspired to build a strong, unique and world-class School that will serve as the hub of the community for generations.
We are a world-class provider of early childhood education and care from birth through kindergarten. Part of a growing network of national pre-schools with the Goddard franchise brand, our schools are Reggio-Emilia inspired, teach three languages (English, Spanish, and Mandarin) to all ages with the mission to “help our children become excellent communicators who thrive in diverse communities”.
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate must possess an entrepreneurial spirit and a desire to build the school community from the ground up. A natural salesperson who possesses a clear understanding of superior customer service, she/he is people-oriented with strong social-emotional and communication skills. She/He must have proven experience building trust and resolving conflict with many different stakeholders (parents, children, faculty, admin, the franchise).
Crucially, the ideal candidate brings extensive education administrative experience, including demonstrated academic leadership in curriculum development, personnel management, and strategic planning. This background must include a strong ability to formulate and articulate sound policies, identify and resolve complex administrative issues, and maintain a clear sense of institutional priorities. Comfortable managing every aspect of business – sales, customer service, communications, marketing, human resources, bookkeeping, payroll, and events planning - she/he must also have a passion for education and a desire to make a lasting and meaningful impact.
