American Traveler is hiring a NICU RN for a Level II & III unit requiring 2 years of experience and NRP Advanced certification.

Work in a Level II & III NICU unit within a hospital setting
-
Patient ratios range from 1:1 to 1:4 depending on acuity
-
Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00

On-call responsibilities include late stay if needed

13-week assignment length

Active RN license (South Carolina or Compact) required, pending license accepted if obtained prior to start

Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIH, and NRP Advanced

STABLE certification preferred

Minimum 2 years of NICU experience required, though 1 year of experience may be considered case by case

Epic charting system experience preferred but not required
-
Experience with conscious sedation and ventilator management preferred

Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred

Provide direct nursing care to neonatal patients requiring Level II & III NICU support

First-time travelers are not accepted for this position

Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted

All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted during the application process, as requests made afterward will not be considered

Pass/fail testing is required during orientation, including a Cardiac Dysrhythmia Test for all units and a Moderate Sedation Test for OR, ICU, and Endo units

Travelers have only one opportunity to pass required orientation testing

An attendance policy applies, and missing more than two shifts per 13-week contract without reasonable explanation may result in contract review or cancellation

Former permanent staff of this health system are not eligible to return as travelers
