Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Based Occupational Therapist to join our team. The position is full time in one school district following a 10 month school calendar with the opportunity to work summers. Occupational Therapist will receive a high daily rate rather than fee for service and receive a $500 sign on bonus after 10 months of employment.
The ideal candidate will have a background in pediatrics and a passion to help students achieve their maximum potential through therapeutic interventions. Day-to-day tasks include assessing and evaluating students, developing and implementing personalized therapy plans, and working closely with teachers, physical therapists, speech therapists and families.
Responsibilities
- Create and implement individualized, therapeutic interventions to address students' goals as per the students' Individualized Education Plan.
- Administer standardized tests in accordance with students' IEP and write up evaluation reports.
- Consult with teachers and other school professionals to ensure carry over of students' skills into the academic setting
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding treatment plans and progress.
- Document student progress with daily notes.
- Attend annual CSE meetings and report on students' progress towards goals and proposed goals for the following school year.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with educational team and families.

Pay: $87,500.00 - $91,875.00 per year
