SHIBA Express is an expanding transportation and logistics company looking for a dependable and motivated Loader to support our daily freight operations. This position is a great opportunity for individuals who enjoy hands-on physical work, prioritize workplace safety, and can perform effectively in a fast-moving warehouse and transportation environment. The Loader is responsible for safely handling, organizing, and preparing freight while helping ensure shipments move smoothly and efficiently throughout the logistics process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely load and unload freight, packages, shipments, and various materials from trucks and warehouse areas
- Organize, stack, and secure cargo properly to minimize the risk of damage during storage and transportation
- Sort, stage, and prepare freight for scheduled pickups, deliveries, and distribution activities
- Follow all company safety policies, warehouse procedures, and handling guidelines
- Inspect shipments for damage or discrepancies and communicate any concerns to supervisors
- Keep loading docks, storage areas, and workspaces clean, organized, and safe
- Work closely with drivers, warehouse personnel, and operations staff to support efficient daily workflows
- Use material-handling equipment such as pallet jacks, hand trucks, and dollies safely and effectively
Qualifications:
- Ability to safely lift, carry, and move items weighing approximately 50–75 pounds
- Previous experience in logistics, warehousing, freight handling, or similar physical work is preferred but not required
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety, accuracy, and quality
- Ability to work independently while also contributing positively as part of a team
- Reliable attendance, punctuality, and a strong work ethic
- Flexibility to work varying schedules, including evenings, weekends, or adjusted hours when needed
