Nestled in the heart of historic Front Street in downtown Fairplay, Colorado Cantina Tequila Bar and Eatery brings bold Southwest flavors and good vibes to the high country. We're looking for talented and enthusiastic culinary and service professionals to join the Colorado Cantina Team.
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Dishwasher/Busser to join our dynamic team. This role is essential in maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced setting.
Duties
- Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area by sweeping, mopping, and disposing of waste.
- Assist in food preparation as needed, including basic culinary tasks under the guidance of cooks or chefs.
- Set up and break down banquet tables for events as required.
- Help bus tables by clearing away used dishes and utensils promptly to ensure a clean dining experience for guests.
- Follow all food handling and safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
- Support kitchen staff with various tasks to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
Experience
- Previous experience in a hotel, restaurant, or catering environment is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with food handling practices and culinary techniques is a plus.
- Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented atmosphere while maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced kitchen setting.
