Licensed Commercial Service Electrician (Troubleshooting Focus)
Job Summary
Steadfast Electric is seeking a highly skilled and licensed Commercial Service Electrician with a strong emphasis on troubleshooting and diagnostics. This role focuses on identifying, analyzing, and resolving electrical issues in commercial and residential systems. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, customer-focused, and thrives in a fast-paced service environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues including power loss, faulty circuits, equipment failures, and intermittent problems
- Respond to service calls and emergency repairs in a timely and professional manner
- Use diagnostic tools (multimeters, circuit tracers, meggers, etc.) to identify root causes
- Repair or replace defective components such as breakers, panels, wiring, lighting, and controls
- Perform panel upgrades, service calls, and corrective repairs
- Communicate findings and solutions clearly to customers
- Document work performed, troubleshooting steps, and materials used
- Ensure all work complies with NEC and local codes
- Identify safety hazards and recommend preventative solutions
- Maintain service vehicle, tools, and stocked inventory
Required Qualifications
- Valid Electrician License (Journeyman or Master)
- 4–6+ years of troubleshooting/service experience
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Solid knowledge of electrical systems and NEC requirements
- Ability to read schematics and wiring diagrams
- Experience with electrical testing equipment
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Ability to work independently
Compensation & Benefits
$30–$35 per hour, based on experience
