IEC, a national trade association representing nearly 4,000 merit shop electrical contractors, is seeking an experienced project management instructor to deliver our Foundations of Project Management for the Electrical Trade program , a 3-day, in-person, hands-on training for emerging electrical project leaders.
What You'll Do
- Lead full 3-day workshops using our pre-developed program (covering project initiation, operational execution, and financial closeout)
- Facilitate team-based simulations, group exercises, and real-time coaching
- Travel to a minimum of 4 IEC chapter locations annually
- Contribute feedback and insights to help refine the program each year
What We're Looking For
- 7-15 years of project management experience in electrical construction
- Proven experience delivering training or facilitating group learning
- Strong communication, coaching, and group-facilitation skills
- Comfort adapting structured content to different audiences
Contract Details
- 1-year renewable contract
- $2,000-$3,000 per program delivery (negotiable based on experience), plus travel reimbursement
- Estimated commitment: 4+ program deliveries/year, plus periodic instructor collaboration sessions and committee updates
