Production Technician I - Plastisol
Job Summary:
The Production Technician I is responsible for performing all tasks involved in the production of Lakeside Plastics products. The Production Technician I will ensure that the products meet quality control standards. This is a fast paced and physical position which requires the ability to multi-task. Efficiency and attention to detail are essential for this role. The Production Technician I will follow standard work procedures and practices; as well as participate in safe work habits to ensure an efficient and safe working environment.
Responsibilities/Tasks:
· Mix plastisol batches in large mixers using proper procedures. This involves heavy lifting (up to 60lbs) for a period of time followed by less strenuous tasks
· Perform quality control tests to ensure viscosity, weight/gallon and moisture meet product requirements
· Follow customer specific instructions and leverage attention to detail in completing paperwork
· Prep product and containers for shipping adhering to customer specifications
· Accurately weigh pigment and finished product to ensure they meet specifications
· Operate forklift to move product (Lakeside certified)
· Produce approximately 2 batches of plastisol per day
· Follow direction of Leads and Division Supervisor and perform work as assigned
· Create awareness of mechanical or material issues
· Maintain a clean and safe working environment
Requirements:
- Able to lift up to 60 pounds
- Have the ability to squat, bend, twist, work in high places, climb stairs multiple times per shift
- Must be able to work in a warehouse type environment with frequent dust and loud noises
- Excellent attendance is necessary
- Self-motivated with excellent communication skills
- Able to work as part of a team
- Able to perform basic mathematical calculations
- Able to operate a forklift (Lakeside certified)
- Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug test

Pay: $18.50 - $22.00 per hour
