Job Summary

Duties
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility
- Monitor residents’ health by taking vital signs, observing patient conditions, and reporting changes promptly
- Support medication administration following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure privacy and safety
- Prepare nutritious meals, assist with cooking, and maintain cleanliness in resident living areas
- Operate equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident lifts safely during transfers and repositioning
- Document care activities accurately, including patient observations, and incident reports
- Engage residents in social activities and provide companionship to promote mental and emotional well-being
- Monthly trainings, provided through Star Services.
Requirements
- Prior experience working in assisted living, nursing homes, or group homes is highly preferred
- Knowledge of patient monitoring, dementia care (including Alzheimer’s and memory care), and hospice or home health experience is advantageous
- Certification in CPR, First Aid, and HIPAA compliance is required or obtainable upon hire
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physical tasks associated with caregiving duties
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members, residents, families, and healthcare professionals
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism is a plus
