CT Technologist - PRN
Essential DutiesResponsibilities:

Access patient's condition prior to administering contrast media or performing radiography procedure

Perform radiographic procedures as prescribed by physician determining proper technique through selection of voltage, current and exposure time.

Position patient for the proper view of affected area and instruct patient on proper physiological requirements for procedure.

Prepare contracts media and administer to patient either intravenously or through other body cavities.

Ensure that required consent forms are signed prior to procedure.

Chart completion of exams and other pertinent information in patient charts.

Discuss procedure results with departmental supervisor when indicated.

Participate in quality assurance monitoring and recording outcomes.

Operate portable radiographic equipment for performance of procedures throughout hospital including medical/surgical and cardiac care units and recover and emergency rooms.

Work control desk and perform PACS duties as needed.

Ensure accurate PACS operation and transmission of images for interpretation.

Teach radiography technology students proper procedures, x-rays physics, equipment operation, anatomy and duties and responsibilities of RT.

Transport and assist other transport patients to/from imaging departments.
Education: Graduate of accredited 2 year program in RT with current registration from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
Experience: 2 year demonstrable experience in diagnostic imaging
