Position Summary:
Accent Electric is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Mechanic to inspect, maintain, diagnose, and repair company vehicles, trailers, equipment, and machinery. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills, work efficiently with minimal supervision, and help ensure our fleet and equipment remain safe, dependable, and operating at peak performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance on company vehicles, trailers, heavy machinery, and equipment.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and engine-related issues.
- Complete oil changes, tire rotations, brake repairs, suspension work, and other preventative maintenance.
- Inspect vehicles and equipment to identify safety concerns or needed repairs.
- Maintain accurate service records, repair logs, and maintenance schedules.
- Order parts and maintain an organized inventory of tools and supplies.
- Respond to breakdowns and emergency repair requests as needed.
- Ensure all repairs comply with company safety standards and manufacturer specifications.
- Keep the shop clean, organized, and safe.
- Communicate repair recommendations and equipment status to management.
- Assist with DOT inspections and ensure fleet compliance with applicable regulations.
- Perform welding and fabrication repairs when necessary (preferred).
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience as an automotive, diesel, or heavy equipment mechanic preferred.
- Strong knowledge of engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical systems, hydraulics, and diagnostics.
- Ability to use diagnostic software and repair equipment.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (CDL is a plus).
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work in varying weather conditions.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- ASE Certification or equivalent mechanical certifications.
- Experience maintaining work trucks, trailers, skid loaders, excavators, or other construction equipment.
- Welding and fabrication experience.
- Knowledge of DOT inspection requirements.
Physical Requirements:
- Frequently lift, push, pull, and carry up to 75 pounds.
- Stand, kneel, crouch, bend, and work under vehicles for extended periods.
- Work both indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures and weather conditions.

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
