Delta Eye Care is a family-owned optometry practice and optical boutique in Allen, TX. Our mission is to change the standards of eye care by delivering a comprehensive, efficient, informative, and personalized experience all in one location.
We’re seeking a friendly, dependable, and detail-oriented team member who’s excited about cross-training and growth. You’ll play a vital role in ensuring our patients feel welcomed, cared for, and empowered while gaining experience in the optometry world with opportunities to become a cross-trained in optical with additional pay.
Responsibilities
As a Patient Care Coordinator and Clinic Technician, you will:
- Greeting and checking in patients
- Schedule and modify patient appointments via phone, email, or text
- Assist with coordinating referrals and pharmacy requests
- Prepare patients for exams with pre-testing
- Help assist patient with contact lens training, care and orders
- Support patient check-out and scheduling when needed
Additional Responsibilities as an optician (extra pay):
- Assist patients with frame styling and lens selections
- Take accurate optical measurements (PD, segment height, etc.)
- Create and submit orders through insurance portals and lab systems
- Inspect, dispense, and adjust eyewear with precision and care
- Maintain open communication with labs and reps regarding orders and warranties
- Troubleshoot and resolve patient concerns with empathy and professionalism
Requirements
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Basic computer and phone skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
Highly Preferred:
- Some prior experience in an optometry office (private practice or corporate)
- Sales experience (retail or healthcare setting is a plus!)
- Familiarity with optical products and patient care systems
- Bilingual abilities
