Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of floors, restrooms, offices, hallways, and common areas using appropriate cleaning tools and supplies.
- Conduct routine janitorial tasks such as trash removal, dusting, sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting surfaces to uphold hygiene standards.
- Maintain cleanliness of windows, glass doors, and fixtures to ensure a polished appearance.
- Assist with light custodial duties including replenishing supplies in restrooms and break areas.
- Use floor care equipment like buffers or polishers to maintain high-traffic areas’ shine and safety.
- Follow safety protocols during cleaning procedures and report any maintenance issues or hazards promptly.
- Support facilities maintenance tasks as needed, including minor repairs or reporting larger issues for resolution.
Qualifications
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience preferred; familiarity with commercial cleaning standards is a plus.
- Knowledge of floor care techniques such as buffing, stripping, and sealing floors.
- Experience with industrial cleaning or facilities maintenance is advantageous.
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively.
- Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to cleanliness and safety standards.
- Reliable with excellent time management skills to complete tasks efficiently during scheduled hours.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, lift moderate loads, and perform repetitive cleaning tasks throughout the shift.
