Overview
Chattanooga Physical Therapy is a PT/family owned clinic devoted to providing the best patient care possible. We only see patients one-on-one, insuring that they receive the best care possible. Our rehabilitation team are all doctors of physical therapy.
We are looking for a physical therapist looking available to work while full time staff is unavailable, such as on vacation. The position is flexible on the schedule and work within your availability on hours and days.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ physical conditions.
- Develop and implement personalized care plans that incorporate physical therapy techniques such as manual therapy, dry needling, therapeutic activities and exercise, gait training, modalities, and neuromuscular re-education.
- Manage discharge planning processes to ensure seamless transitions.
- Collaborate effectively with our Front Office Administrator and Physical Therapists.
- Document all patient interactions accurately within Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems, maintaining detailed records of progress and adjustments. We currently use Prompt Health EMR and require you to complete the provided training in using the system before beginning work.
- Educate patients and caregivers on physical therapy exercises, injury prevention, and health maintenance strategies tailored to their specific needs.
- Participate in semi-monthly staff meetings to coordinate patient care as appropriate.
Requirements
- Doctor of Physical Therapy from an accredited post graduate program.
- Licensed Physical Therapist with current registration in Tennessee.
- Demonstrated experience in outpatient physical therapy.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and orthopedic physical therapy principles.
- Proven ability to develop comprehensive care plans that include discharge planning and patient education.
- Familiarity with EMR systems for documentation and patient management.
- Proficiency with manual therapy and dry needling preferred.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with our healthcare team and educate patients effectively. It is vital to our clinic to foster a place of belonging for our team and our patients.
