Position Overview
We're seeking a skilled, self-motivated Appliance Repair Technician to deliver exceptional in-home service. You'll diagnose, repair, install, and maintain a variety of household appliances while providing outstanding customer experiences and identifying upsell opportunities. This mobile role is ideal for hands-on troubleshooters who thrive on independence, time management, and building positive customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately diagnose and repair major household appliances in customers' homes
- Install new appliances and equipment
- Provide clear cost estimates for repairs and installations, then collect payment
- Use materials efficiently and maintain the company vehicle, tools, and equipment
- Complete accurate invoices, daily route sheets, and weekly reports
- Perform additional duties as needed, including cross-training in related services
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- At least 18 years of age
- Proficiency using tablet-based technology for job tracking and reporting
- Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs repetitively and up to 100 lbs occasionally
- Physically capable of strenuous work (standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing, etc.) in varied conditions
- Flexible availability for day-shift hours
Physical Demands
This role requires frequent standing, walking, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and lifting/moving heavy items. You'll work in customers' homes under various environmental conditions.
