The Bookkeeper at Asha Partners works with the leadership team to maintain internal control safeguards, manage all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements for non-profit organizations. This position is a key participant in performing the day-to-day operations of the general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, revenue and expense areas.
Required Education & Experience
- 2+ years in in accounting, financial management and bookkeeping
- Associates degree in accounting or related field
Preferred Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
- 5+ years’ experience in accounting or similar position in Christian ministry or other non-profit context
Responsibilities
- Accounting: Non-profit accounting and bookkeeping (entering donations, expenses, reconciling books, etc.), budget management, financial statement preparation and presentation, invoicing, payroll.
- Grant Application Management: Assist in researching and preparing grant applications, budgets, and reports.
- Donor Relations Support: Support the Founders and other development personnel in maintaining and cultivating donor contacts and reports using Blackbaud Raisers Edge CRM and other programs.
- Management: This person will manage the office budget and identified projects related to office operations to achieve maximum expense control and efficient and productive ministry operations as well as assist in managing human resources.
- Special Projects: Provide frontline and administrative support as requested to ensure timely completion of projects. Maintain working knowledge of databases (Blackbaud Raisers Edge CRM) and reporting methodologies to support project requests.

Technical Skills
- Accounting Software: Quickbooks (required) and Blackbaud Raisers Edge (preferred) or other accounting applications
- Understanding of CRM database systems (Blackbaud Raisers Edge preferred)
- Financial report preparation and interpretation
- Microsoft Office Suite (Excel – Advanced; Word – Intermediate to advanced; MS PowerPoint)
- Google Apps/Docs – Intermediate to Advanced (Sheets, Docs, Calendars, Drive)
- Writing & Proofreading
- Familiarity with AI tools to maximize productivity
