American Traveler is hiring a Mammography Technologist to perform screening and diagnostic mammograms in a Breast Center setting, requiring 1+ year of experience and ARRT (M) certification.

Position based in the Breast Center within an acute care hospital
-
5x8 hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
-
Daily caseload of 15-20 mammograms
-
No weekend or on-call requirements (weekend volunteering only if events are scheduled)

Technologist remains within the Breast Center and does not float to other units

Epic EMR preferred
-
Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Mammography Technologist required

BLS, ARRT (M), and SCRQSA (M) certifications required
-
South Carolina state license required if applicable

Experience in screening and diagnostic mammograms required

Experience with Stereotactic Biopsy required

Experience with Hologic and Siemens equipment preferred

Experience with Breast Ultrasound and Ultrasound Biopsies is a plus but not required

First-time travelers accepted

Perform screening and diagnostic mammograms and stereotactic biopsy procedures

Level III Trauma, Acute Care Hospital with 286 staffed beds

Scrub color requirement: Teal top and black bottom

Traveler must supply their own radiation badge as the facility does not provide one

Radius rule of 60 miles applies; local candidates accepted

During hurricane season (June through November), all staff may be assigned to emergency response duties
-
Previous MUSC perm or PRN staff must be separated for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
