Lake Beseck – Middlefield Parks & Recreation
The Town of Middlefield Parks & Recreation Department is seeking responsible Lifeguards to supervise the public swimming area at Lake Beseck during the summer season.
Lifeguards are responsible for monitoring swimmers, enforcing waterfront rules, and responding to emergencies. Lifeguards work under the supervision of the Waterfront Director / Head Lifeguard.
Minimum Qualifications
- Current Lifeguard Certification (American Red Cross or equivalent)
- Current CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer
- Current First Aid certification
- Ability to demonstrate strong swimming and rescue skills
Age Requirement
Minimum age 16
Responsibilities
- Monitor swimmers within designated swim areas
- Enforce waterfront safety rules and regulations
- Identify unsafe conditions and prevent accidents
- Respond quickly to water emergencies and perform rescues
- Administer first aid when needed
- Maintain lifeguard stations and rescue equipment
- Assist with supervision during swimming lessons or camp swim periods
- Help maintain a safe and clean beach environment
Compensation
Seasonal hourly position
Estimated $17–$20 per hour depending on experience
Pay: $20.00 per hour
