Role Description This is a part-time, hybrid Design Project Manager role based in Glencoe, IL, with flexibility for some work-from-home. The Design Project Manager will coordinate, assist and oversee interior design projects from concept development through installation, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met. Responsibilities include supporting the design team with project planning, scheduling, vendor coordination, and procurement tracking, as well as maintaining organized project documentation and presentations. The role will involve regular communication with clients, architects, contractors, and trade partners to manage expectations, clarify design intent, and resolve issues as they arise. The Design Project Manager will help translate design concepts into actionable plans, monitor progress on-site and remotely, and support the delivery of completed projects that reflect Divvy House’s aesthetic and service standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Arts Degree
- Strong skills in Design Management and Project Management to guide interior design projects from concept through completion.
- Proficiency in Project Planning and Budgeting to create timelines, track costs, and align resources with project goals.
- Excellent Communication skills to collaborate with clients, internal team members, vendors, and contractors in a clear and professional manner.
- Experience or education in interior design, architecture, or a related field; familiarity with design documentation, finishes, and furnishings.
- Comfort with a hybrid work model, strong organizational abilities, attention to detail, and the capacity to manage multiple projects at once.
- Proficiency with basic project and productivity tools - specifically Google Workspace (Sheets, Drive & Docs.)
- Prior experience in residential or hospitality design environments is preferred.
- Social media, styling & organization experience preferred, but not required.
Pay: $52,000.00 - $63,000.00 per year
