American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position requiring Epic proficiency, prior neurology/stroke experience, and a VA or Compact RN license in hand.

Position is located on a Med/Surg Telemetry unit (6S) in a hospital setting

Day shift schedule: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM

Schedule is 3x12 or 4x12 hours per week — candidate preference will be noted

Every other weekend (EOW) required

Floating required

Holiday coverage required within the contract period

Patient ratio is 1:7
-
Epic EMR — proficiency required, no exceptions

13-week contract with possible extension

Active VA or Compact RN license currently in hand — no exceptions

Current BLS and ACLS certifications through the American Heart Association required

NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
-
Minimum 2 years of RN experience required

Prior travel nursing experience required

Epic EMR proficiency required

Demonstrated experience with IV starts and telemetry interpretation required

Prior experience working with neurology and/or stroke patients required

Must have a clean license and background — no prior license or background hits will be considered

Two professional references required for consideration

Copy of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration

Provide Med/Surg Telemetry nursing care including telemetry monitoring and IV management for a neurology/stroke patient population

All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed at time of submission
