Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Dog Daycare Attendant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing a safe, fun, and nurturing environment for dogs while ensuring their well-being and happiness. You will interact with dogs of various breeds and temperaments, engaging them in activities that promote socialization and exercise. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in animal care and a genuine love for dogs, but no experience required.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and engage with dogs during playtime to ensure safe interactions.
- Monitor the health and behavior of the dogs, reporting any concerns to management.
- Maintain cleanliness of the daycare facility, including kennels, play areas, and equipment.
- Provide basic grooming services such as brushing and bathing as needed.
- Assist with feeding schedules and ensure that all dietary needs are met.
- Handle dogs safely using proper restraint techniques when necessary.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their dog's behavior and needs.
- Participate in training sessions for dog handling and care practices.
Requirements
Working weekends and holidays is part of the Job requirement. Pay is dependent on availability.
- Previous experience in dog handling or animal care is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with dog training techniques is a plus.
- Experience as a veterinary technician or assistant is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of pet grooming practices is beneficial.
- Strong customer service skills to interact positively with pet owners.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when handling larger breeds or equipment.
- Experience in kennel operations or pet sitting is an advantage.
- Must possess excellent animal handling skills to ensure the safety of all pets in care.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
