Location: Cary, hybrid (1 WFH day when caseload is full)

Position Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health & Substance Use Therapist to provide high-quality clinical services to individuals with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. This role includes 25 clinical hours per week of direct client care through individual, couples, family, and group therapy.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Services
- Provide individual, group, and/or family therapy to clients with mental health and/or substance use disorders
- Maintain a caseload of 22-25 client facing hours per week
- Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
- Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant clinical documentation and note completion within 24 hours
- Monitor client progress and adjust treatment interventions as needed
- Facilitate IOP groups using multiple modalities
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care by attending all scheduled staff meetings
- Support implementation of evidence-based practices for co-occurring disorders
- Participate in program evaluation and quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or related field
- Active, full licensure such as LCSW, or LCMHC
- Experience working with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders preferred
Desired Skills & Competencies
- Knowledge of IOP and multiple levels of care
- Familiarity with Joint Commission (JCAHO) standards strongly preferred
- Strong clinical, interpersonal, organizational, and documentation skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Detail-oriented with a focus on compliance and quality care
- Adaptability in a growing and evolving practice
- Experience working with mood disorders, substance abuse/dependence, trauma and/or OCD, autism spectrum disorders, and eating disorders
- Interested in training for ketamine assisted psychotherapy (KAP)
- Experience in couples or family therapy
- Experience in harm reduction approach to substance use disorders
- Training in trauma-oriented modalities strongly preferred
- Prior experience in Intensive Outpatient Programs preferred
