Senior Principal Controls Engineer
Location: Remote (USA)
We are seeking a Senior Principal Controls Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and support of advanced automation and control systems for mission-critical infrastructure and data center environments.
Required Skills:

- BMS, EPMS, MES, SCADA System Integration

- Industrial Protocols: Modbus, BACnet, OPC UA, Ethernet/IP, SNMP
- FAT, SAT, Commissioning, Startup, Troubleshooting, Root Cause Analysis
- AutoCAD, EPLAN, SolidWorks, Electrical Schematics, BOMs
- Data Center Infrastructure: UPS, Generators, Switchgear, Chillers, CRAC/CRAH, Fire Protection Systems
- Low/Medium Voltage Power Distribution Systems
Responsibilities:
- Design, program, and implement PLC, IPC, SCADA, HMI, BMS, and EPMS solutions.
- Develop Functional Design Specifications (FDS), Sequences of Operation (SOO), I/O Lists, and technical documentation.
- Lead FAT, SAT, commissioning, startup, and system optimization activities.
- Support mission-critical infrastructure and power management systems.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated automation solutions.
- Establish engineering standards, reusable templates, and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 8+ years of hands-on industrial automation and controls engineering experience.
- Strong communication, leadership, and troubleshooting skills.
Preferred: Experience with data centers, digital twins, predictive maintenance, PE license, and DevOps tools.
Pay: $65.00 - $70.00 per hour
