We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our dynamic educational team. Responsibilities
- Design and deliver customized lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, incorporating educational technology and evidence-based practices for students with disabilities.
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to address each student’s unique needs.
- Adapt instructional materials and classroom activities to accommodate various learning styles, including speech therapy techniques, literacy education, math support, and communication skills development.
- Manage classroom behavior using positive behavior management strategies tailored for students with neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism spectrum disorders.
- Provide direct instruction in areas such as early childhood education, preschool skills, childhood development, and Montessori or other specialized curricula.
- Support students’ social-emotional growth through mentoring, behavioral therapy techniques, and classroom management practices that foster a safe and nurturing environment.
- Collaborate closely with speech therapists, behavioral health specialists, occupational therapists, and other professionals to enhance student outcomes.
- Conduct assessments using standardized testing methods to evaluate progress and inform instructional adjustments.
- Maintain accurate documentation of student progress, IEP goals, behavioral reports, and communication logs in compliance with special education law.
- Engage families through regular communication about student achievements, challenges, and strategies for continued support at home.
Experience
- Prior classroom experience working with children or young adults in special education settings is essential.
- Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development tailored for students with disabilities or neurodevelopmental disorders is highly valued.
- Experience integrating educational technology tools into lesson planning to enhance learning outcomes.
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques for students with developmental disabilities or behavioral health needs.
- Familiarity with early intervention programs and supporting children through preschool to elementary transitions.
- Understanding of IEP processes, special education law, and compliance standards required for effective teaching in private or public school environments.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams while maintaining a positive attitude focused on student success.

Pay: $67,000.00 - $98,000.00 per year
