Low Voltage Technician
Pay: Based on Experience
Seeking an experienced and motivated Low Voltage Technician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently while maintaining high-quality installation standards.
Responsibilities:
- Install, terminate, test, and troubleshoot low-voltage cabling systems.
- Run and route Cat5e, Cat6, fiber, speaker, and access control cabling in residential and commercial environments.
- Identify the best cable pathways and perform clean, organized installations following code.
- Install and terminate patch panels, network racks, and structured cabling systems.
- Install conduit independently, including EMT and PVC.
- Assist with mounting security cameras, wireless access points, TVs, speakers, and other low-voltage equipment.
- Assist with the installation of network racks and equipment.
- Support the installation team of smart home, audio/video, access control, and surveillance systems.
- Assist with changing switches, dimmers, and other installation-related tasks.
- Test, label, and document all installed cabling and equipment.
- Work safely and professionally while maintaining clean job sites.
- Assist other team members as needed to complete projects successfully.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of low-voltage installation experience.
- Experience with structured cabling, CCTV, networking, access control, and smart home systems.
- Ability to run conduit independently and efficiently.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Must possess basic hand tools and low-voltage tools, including cable testers, crimpers, punch-down tools, and drills.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to work on ladders, lift up to 50 lbs., and work in attics and outdoor environments.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Ubiquiti, Control4, Sonos, or similar systems.
- BICSI, NICET, or other industry certifications a plus.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
Pay: Up to $28.00 per hour
