Job Summary
Metropolitan UMC is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Alto Section Leader to inspire and lead our choir’s alto section during Sunday worship services and rehearsals.
Sunday Service: 11:00 AM, 10:00 AM call time for warmup
Rehearsal: 12:30 PM, after worship service
Compensation: $120 per week ($70 for the service, $50 for the rehearsal)
Responsibilities
- Arrive on time and attend all rehearsals and worship services on Sundays and Holy Days
- Lead by example in singing, professionalism, and preparation
- Prepare and sing weekly anthems, hymns, solos, and duets
- Assist the Music Director in leading sectional rehearsals as needed
Qualifications
- Excellent vocal technique, musicianship, and sight-reading skills
- Previous choir experience, preferably in a leadership capacity
- Strong Christian faith and familiarity with liturgical music
- Friendly, communicative, and collaborative demeanor
Pay: $120.00 per week
