Job Overview

Duties
- Develop and implement dynamic, age-appropriate curriculum plans that incorporate literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori methods to support holistic childhood development
- Create a safe, inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and positive behavior management strategies
- Engage children in activities that promote social-emotional skills, cooperation, and respect for diversity
- Collaborate with colleagues to design lesson plans aligned with developmental milestones and standardized testing requirements
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about student progress, behavioral concerns, and classroom events
- Incorporate early intervention techniques to support children with special education needs or developmental delays
- Maintain detailed records of student assessments, behavior management logs, and lesson plans to ensure compliance and continuous improvement
Skills
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
- Experience in curriculum development tailored for preschool-aged children with an emphasis on literacy education and math skills
- Proven classroom management skills to foster a positive learning environment
- Ability to work effectively with children of diverse backgrounds and needs, including toddlers requiring specialized care or early intervention services
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with students, parents, and colleagues clearly and empathetically
- Familiarity with standardized testing procedures relevant to early childhood programs
- Knowledge of Montessori methods or other child-centered educational philosophies is a plus
- Experience in daycare or private school settings is preferred
- Skills in lesson planning, tutoring, teaching physical education, and implementing behavior management strategies
