Job Description
We are looking for a dependable, hardworking Cook to join our mobile food restaurant. The ideal candidate takes pride in preparing delicious, high-quality food and is able to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
The Cook will be responsible for food preparation, cooking menu items according to recipes and quality standards, maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen, and following all food safety requirements.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Ensure food is cooked properly and meets quality and presentation standards.
- Prepare ingredients by washing, cutting, seasoning, portioning, and storing food.
- Maintain consistent portion sizes and food quality.
- Follow proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary cooking and food preparation area.
- Monitor food temperatures and ensure safe cooking practices.
- Properly store and label ingredients and prepared foods.
- Check ingredients for freshness and quality.
- Restock ingredients and kitchen supplies as needed.
- Help with opening and closing kitchen duties.
- Minimize food waste and use ingredients responsibly.
- Work efficiently during busy service periods.
- Communicate effectively with team members.
- Follow all health department and food safety requirements.
Qualifications
- Dependable and punctual.
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
- Able to work well as part of a team.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Willing to learn and follow recipes and cooking procedures.
- Must be willing to obtain a Food Handler Card/Certification.
- Previous cooking or restaurant experience preferred but not required.
