The Loudoun County Department of General Services is seeking a qualified applicant for the Maintenance Technician I position in the Waste Management Division. This general maintenance position supports landfill and recycling operations by performing grounds maintenance at the County's 400-acre landfill site using lawn mowers, tractors, rotary mowers, string trimmers, blowers, and vacuums.
Duties include, but are not limited to, lawn mowing, edging, trimming, fence-line maintenance, litter control, traffic control, recycling center, and citizen convenience area operations and cleanup. Off-season work will entail performing maintenance on landscape equipment, fence repair, erosion control (raking, shaping, seeding, mulching), snow removal, and site cleanup.
