Overview
Recording studio/office building seeks a dedicated and detail-oriented Cleaner to join our Facilities Maintenance Team. The ideal candidate will be the primary individual responsible for maintaining cleanliness, neatness, presentability and organization in recording studios and office areas, ensuring that all are hygienic, clean, dust-free, trash-free, and presentable. This role requires a strong work ethic, unwavering attention to detail, punctuality, high energy, and the ability to work independently at the direction of the Building Manager.
Responsibilities
Perform general cleaning in all areas, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming.
● Sanitize & clean pantries, restrooms, common areas, offices and workspaces;
● Empty (and change liner) trash cans;
● Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, communicate needs to Building Management for re-order/re-stock in a timely manner.
● Follow safety protocols while using cleaning chemicals and equipment.
● Ensure that all cleaning tasks are completed in a timely manner.
● Report maintenance issues or safety hazards to Building Management.
● Assist Building Manager with special projects as needed.
Experience
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or residential settings is highly preferred.
- Experience operating cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, and carpet cleaners is advantageous.
- Knowledge of sanitation standards, chemical handling safety procedures, and general facilities maintenance is essential.
- Strong manual handling skills with an understanding of safe lifting practices are required.
- Previous porter or maintenance experience can be an asset in supporting broader building upkeep efforts.

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30.0 – 38.0 per week
