Summary of responsibilities
The Registered Nurse Intake and Date Entry Specialist main task will be to make the welcome call to all referrals and closely communicate with physician offices, hospitals, and insurance companies to gather accurate referral information that including demographics, essential background information, healthcare records, and the plan of care. All from the comfort of your desk in our main office! The RN will then transcribe patient information from the referral into our electronic charting system. The RN will effectively communicate findings with clinical coordinators, medical billers, and schedulers during the intake process. Our team ensures that all staff are quickly recognized as an integral part of the team and help make a positive lasting impression with our community. This individual will work full-time weekdays and rotating weekends. Final schedule is discussed with the hiring managers.
Qualifications
- Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Idaho or other compact state.
- Two (2) years of registered nursing experience in a community/home health or medical/surgical experience is preferred. At least one (1) year of community/home health highly recommended.
- Obtain and maintain current BLS CPR which counts as continuing education credits!
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office Products.
- License driver with a well working automobile for getting to and from work in various types of weather to ensure reliability.
