Responsibilities
- Supervise daily warehouse activities related to garage door components, including shipping, receiving, storage, and order fulfillment.
- Lead and motivate a team of warehouse staff, providing clear direction, coaching, and managerial communication to ensure high performance.
- Oversee inventory management systems and processes, ensuring accurate stock levels through regular cycle counts and inventory audits.
- Operate or coordinate the operation of material handling equipment such as forklifts safely and efficiently.
- Implement process improvements using lean management principles to enhance workflow efficiency and reduce waste
- Maintain compliance with OSHA safety standards, ensuring a safe working environment for all team members while managing heavy lifting tasks and materials handling activities.
Requirements
- Proven experience in warehouse supervision within distribution center operations, preferably in materials handling environments.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems and inventory management systems
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively with excellent managerial communication skills and team leadership qualities.
- Hands-on experience operating forklift trucks, mechanical knowledge of materials handling equipment, and familiarity with heavy lifting procedures.
- Knowledge of logistics, shipping & receiving protocols, and distribution center operations aligned with OSHA standards.
- Experience with process improvement initiatives such as lean management practices to optimize warehouse workflows.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities within a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
